About Keiki

I’m Keiki, (sounds like cakey) the owner & principal photographer of Keiki-Lani Knudsen Photography. Based out of Las Vegas, NV, I’ve been working with brands since 2016. When I first started out, I worked as a Photographer's Assistant and a Global Product Imagery Intern at Volcom HQ. In 2017, I graduated from The Art Institutes of California - Orange County with a degree in photography. It has been a long journey with lots of struggles and bumps along the way, but I couldn’t be more thankful for where I am now with my business.

A Career Full of Surprises

I’ve spent the last 5 years of my life pushing so hard to achieve what I have now. I built a career for myself and provided for myself and for my friends when they were in need. I’ve experienced so many life-changing moments—things I never even imagined I’d do. I am so grateful my camera has brought me this far.

Sometimes it’s easy to be blind to all the really cool things I get to do. But when I look back on my career, I’m reminded of how lucky I am to live this life & that I can do anything I put my mind to.

I’m looking forward to seeing where my silly little camera takes me.

Living the Dream

I’m gracious for the life I get to live, one that used to just be a dream. To see all of my hard work pay off and lead me to absolutely crushing each obstacle I’ve faced & every goal I’ve met is really something special.

I never imagined I would be flying anywhere for work, but all these years later, people like my work enough to bring me out to create for them. It truly is so special, and such a privilege. I wouldn’t want my life to be any other way.

Fun Facts

A chance to get to know me, the girl behind the camera, a little better.

What’s your favorite Festival?

I often get asked what my favorite festival is to work, and at the end of the day, Dirtybird Campout is my number one festival. It’s what got me started on this journey as a festival photographer when I first attended in 2016.

What’s a moment you’ll never forget?

I was honored with shooting Zhu, my favorite artist, at EDC Las Vegas in 2022. I didn’t really realize how big this moment was until @joeyvitalari told me it was the first set he hasn’t shot of Zhu in 4 years… like wow. It feels so special to be so trusted to capture moments like this.

What is the hardest thing to shoot?

Over the last 5 years of capturing live music, I have struggled endlessly to properly expose for fire. Time and time again it has been a reminder that it takes practice and one day I would finally get it. I just didn’t know when it would happen….until it did.
